All the pieces on this album were composed for the documentary "2012/Through the heart" (Rodrigue Jean & Arnaud Valade) which questions the intimate relationship between violence and bodies in a “minute-by-minute” reconstruction of three crucial events from the student strike, with a focus on the Victoriaville riot. The music reflects the sadness of state violence inflicted on those who organized against the austerity of the liberal state, proposing new forms of collectivity. It is also an attempt to show glimmers of hope through the possibilities and nostalgia of social movements that have drastically marked everyone's lives.

Errance has meticulously assembled fragments of ten compositions created for the documentary. Some of the pieces appeared in the film, others did not, but they are all linked together, inhabited by the spirit of the film while also presenting an alter being. His pieces impose themselves through another vocation, through their other body, transporting as images only those produced by the imagination of those who strain the ear without seeing. The compositions of 'Timbres Oblitérés' offer a singular reflection on violence and affect, deepening with each listen. It is a mix of dark drones, nostalgic atmospheres, harmonized glitchs and random hiss and noise.
